And this Congress
Hello Ploggers, how are you. I am hoping that you are all doing really well. As Americans we go through a lot of trauma on a daily basis. For those of us who are minimally aware of political hijinx, it can be stressful. There are many people who turn a blind eye to politics. They are remotely aware of what is going on, but remain distant from it in their personal lives. I respect everyone’s right to be and do their own thing. I am not that person. Also I am apologizing ahead of time for my negligence. I have been so busy lately that I have not kept up with my 😣Plogs. I am also having difficulty uploading them to Facebook these days. But I will figure that out too with time and my techi ⌨️ daughter.
Let’s look at the composition of the current Republican US House of Representatives. There are Insurrectionsts,💩 Election Deniers,💩 White Nationalists, 💩White Nationalist Sympathizers💩and a bevy of spineless Co-💩 Defendants and 💩 Frauds. There are many unpunished criminals. Worse than that is the fact that they now have the majority numbers and have finally elected Kevin McCarthy as House Speaker. Lawrence O'Donnell did a segment on his show where he spoke of another House Speaker who had to handle a very difficult situation.
That Speaker was Nancy Pelosi. The problem was Anthony Weiner. Weiner was a Democratic New York Congressman who was caught sending "dick🍌 pics" to underage women. All this while he was married to the personal assistant and prior campaign manager for Hillary Clinton. His scandal was embarrassing and untimely for all involved. When Nancy Pelosi got wind of this she sat him down and got him to resign his elected position. She did this knowing that she would lose have his vote and that could have possibly negative consequences for her when passing legislation. Like many women do she cleaned 🏡 house.
It is yet to be seen what Mc Carthy will do about George Santos aka Anthony Zabvrosky aka Anthony Devolder. But in a world that goes beyond George Santos (or whatever his name is) there is the Legislation that McCarthy has introduced thus far. Not one piece of it has been helpful to average Americans. The very first one was a dog whistle to his 💸 rich donors shielding them from IRS consequences. That was what he announced the night he took the gavel. That is H.R. 23. He has also put up some law making a national abortion ban. Something that most Americans dont even want. Nothing for average Americans. On that note RECLAIM!
