Comatose
Hello Ploggers, how are you. I hope you are having lots of fun over the weekend. I have had a nice mix of work and relaxation. I have spent minimal time looking at the news. Instead I have looked at reruns of Four Wedding, Golden Girls and Sister Wives. Yes I do watch some trash🚮 TV. It is pretty mindless and easy.
I have been thinking about Christopher Rufo and his lame claim to fame based on racism. He is the Pacific Northwesterner who came up with the misleading but powerful term “Critical Race Theory”. They inflated his education from attending the Harvard extension to actually attending Harvard. He got the green 🚦 light from the orange turd, Ron De Santis and Mark Meadows. He has been put onto the New College of Florida Board by their Governor. As he came up with the term Critical Race theory complete with an inaccurate usage that was derogatory to anything black, black history, racism and white guilt. He made it wrong to teach anything about the brutality of slavery and Jim Crow. Anything that would make white people feel guilt was seen as forbidden. Teaching this kind of information would make white kids feel bad about themselves and their ancestors. He helped to make it interchangeable that if it involved anything even remotely “woke” it was able to be used as a negative Republican talking point. He has had a negative effect on pubic and higher education that essentially erases our history. His message has caught on.
So with lots of bias and loaded hidden meanings, CRT was borne and has been used as a weapon. But I have been thinking of some choice words to describe some things too. Words are powerful. The word I am landing on is Comatose. To me it is the perfect word because it describes being in a deeper state than sleep. At first I thought of the word asleep, but I wanted something better. Being 💤 asleep is normal. Being comatose is not. In my opinion the majority of the Republican, Conservative and Right wing is Comatose. They are in a deep and uncontrollable sleep and waiting for an ideal time to resurface and start living and breathing again. They have been taken over by a Traitorous, lying, tyrant and they are being held hostage from their former strength. They are Obtunded, Non-responsive and Brain Dead. These are terms I know well from my ICU nursing days.
So the next time I hear someone accused of being woke, I will counter with the fact that it is better than being 🏨 Comatose. Maybe I will get a nod from Democratic leaders for taking a word and applying it to a specific group of people. RECLAIM!
