Come to your hanging, bring your own rope

Hello Ploggers, how are you. I hope you are having another great Hump🐪 Day.

The work week is half over and the month of August is waving Bye Bye to us every day. Where has the summer gone? I feel like I am hanging on for dear life but am happy to do so. Summers seemed endless when I was a kid and back on the farm. It felt like there was nothing to do for 3 months not 10 short weeks. I remember that at this time of year we always ate from the garden. We had fresh 🌽corn, cucumbers, cantaloupe, etc. Funny enough, these are the same foods I love as an adult.

I want to talk about the elected officials from Columbus, Ohio. The majority of them are Republicans. Governor Mike De Wine (R), Ltn Gov John Husted (R), Secretary of State Frank La Rose (R), Attorney General Dave Yost (R). The majority in the Ohio House and Senate is the Republican Party. One senator, Sherrad brown is a Democrat. One Senator JD Vance is a Republican. Larry Householder (R) previous house speaker was recently sentenced to 20 years in prison for corruption in the largest sandal in state history. A motley crew at best. So Sherrad Brown is the lone Democrat. I personally love him for his candor and activism. He has a low gravely voice and wild curly hair and he is very established.

The Republican majority Ohio House or the General Assembly is a dastardly crew. They are the ones who passed the measure which was just defeated in Issue 1. They are the ones who saw that abortion was going to be on the ballot this November and concocted this method to defeat it in its tracks. They knew that we would lose our rights to change the state constitution forever. This method that would hurt Ohioans permanently. But still they went on with the charade of “protecting our children and daughters and stopping transgender kids from getting help” just to keep reproductive rights away from women in our state.

I am writing this because I want everyone who reads it to know just how callous the Ohio lawmakers are. They have paved the way for gun lobbyists and are catering to the Pro Life crowd. By voting to add the failed Issue they thought we were stupid and easily manipulated. They thought we would bite at their rancid 🍎 apple to “save our children” while they allow anyone to carry a gun without a permit in the entire state. They figurativley invited us to a hanging and told us to bring our own rope. But over 50% of Ohio voters were too smart for that. Now we will have the vote in November. Let’s see how they try to manipulate us regarding that issue. I think they are taking us for feeble minded because the state voted for 45 both👎 times. Sorry but No, we are not that lame. The measure had Bi-Partisan NON SUPPORT. So let’s keep making strides and 💪 RECLAIM!
