Hello Ploggers how are you. I am hoping that you are all doing well. I am enjoying the weekend and prepping for another week. I have had a great week with friends and family. Those kind of days truly refresh me.

They had some laughs in Washington DC two weekends ago at the White House Correspondents’ 🍗 Dinner. The event is an established event that they have on a regular basis. I have seen clips of these dinners from the past. They usually make fun of themselves and each other. Sometimes they bring in professional comediennes to keep the people 😅 laughing. This time they brought in Roy Wood Jr. I heard part of his monologue about Clancy Thomas and Harlan Crowe. That was funny. I would like to know what Thomas would think of the dialogue and jokes at his expense. He has left himself open for so much criticism he should not really be surprised.

But what I want to talk about tonight is some of jokes that Smoking Joe Biden made. It was obviously a chance for him to get back at some people who take shots at him on a regular basis. But that night was Joe’s night. About Marjorie Taylor Green he said “ if you find yourself 😵disoriented or confused its either you’re drunk or Marjorie Taylor Greene.” I bet he has been waiting to say that since she called for his impeachment and called him a piece of sh*t. For her to say that about the president was both gross and inappropriate. As a sitting Congresswoman she has the restraint and class of a drunken👎sailor. I was glad to see Joe get her back . That dynamic had to be good for his soul. He remains sharp and ready to pounce when needed.

But political messages are everywhere, if you listen for them. Last night I went to a Lizzo 🎶 concert with my daughter. Lizzo was beyond👍 excellent. She is all about body👌 positivity. For part of the show, she had the words spelled out on her body saying "my body my choice". But the opener for the show was an artist called Latto. She dedicated part of her show to Women's Rights. She even used a huge pink sign which said "WOMEN"S RIGHTS". I loved seeing the young singers use their platforms to talk about women's bodily autonomy. This particular concert was female support 💋 rally in many ways. Women get it 👀 and we will vote. I love that they took opportunity of a sold out show to be political. Both artists were silent when those signs lit up, but their messages were loud and clear. The messages of Lizzo and Latto just help to reinforce the political truth. Interspersing entertainment with political messages is genious RECLAIM!
