Distractions
Hi Ploggers, how are you all holding up. From week to week, things can be challenging for us. I find this time of year to be a mix of difficulty and hopeful. The difficulty is in waiting out the long❄️ winter. Early March can be absolutely blustery and ☃️snowy. This year’s March weather seems to be a little less snowy and warmer than usual. That is part of the hopefulness that is around. When we get a warm or even cold but 🌞 sunny day it reminds us that 🌷Spring awaits us. So we are quite winter weary but Spring hopeful.
From what I have seen of the national news recently, there are major distractions going on. I am not sure what the Republicans are trying to hide from us but they are sending out distractions left, right and sideways. "Look at the shiny 🔑object over here while we do..." Without a Senate majority they lack power but still bear 👀 watching. They are sending out Marjorie Taylor Green to say idiotic things that are both racist and 💩 buffoonish. She is excellent at doing these impromptu speeches. I saw one where she said “there are some white people who are as lazy as some black people”. Yeah she actually 🙉 said that out of her whole mouth and with a flat Southern drawl. I chalk it up to her blatant racism and ignorance but she has a constituency who voted overwhelmingly to return her to Congress. I have to deduce that the majority of people in her district like her and her crazy talk. The first time she was elected to Congress she ran unopposed. This last November she had a strong opponent. Marcus Flowers was a Veteran, a Patriot and a Democrat. Despite all of that and the $15 million he raised for his campaign, District 14 soundly supported Green in the November 2022 midterm election. SMH.
Another distractor is Kevin McCarthy. McCarthy has handed over all of the 🎥 footage from the January 6 Insurrection over to F*cker Carlson of Fox Opinion network. I refuse to call them the news ever again. The footage shows all of the thugs entering the Capitol for what they call a “tourist visit”. We know that the DOJ has already seen all of this footage and passed on their opportunity to do anything with it. If anything, McCarthy’s acts are a great big “Up Yours” to anyone who ever felt that we would see any justice for the planners of that day. This is a mind numbing distraction. The thought of 45 getting away Scott free with treason, insurrection, injuries and deaths of Americans is very hurtful to me.
The DOJ announced that 45 could be sued by Capitol Police officers and democratic lawmakers for his part in the January 6 Insurrection. And... Likewise Special Prosecutor Jack Smith doing anything other than pressing charges against 45. Smith can subpoena Jared and Ivanka until the cows come home. As long as everyone is afraid to go after 45, he was absolutely right with his "I can shoot someone on Fifth Avenue" comment.
I even heard that an elected official made a public statement about espousing and bringing back public lynchings. As abhorrent as that sounds, it should be unthinkable that anyone would say it out 📯loud. Maybe I dreamed it, since I cant find it anywhere online tonight. As a country we are drifting towards Fascism with a side of Racism. They go together so well. 45 has unleashed what was quietly hiding away. I believe that is the real danger that we are being distracted away from. Keep your eyes 👓 and 👂🏾👂ears open and for God’s sake stay Woke and RECLAIM!
