Plog Number 12

Hello all! In the area of current news I recently read about a Lu Lu of a story. A warrant was recently found for the woman who lied and caused the death of Emmett Till. Her name is Carolyn Bryant Donham and she is still alive and well in 2022. The warrant was never served because they didn’t want to take her away from her family. WTF??? A warrant means there was probable cause or it would never have been issued. Some Judge or Clerk in Jim Crow Mississippi back in 1955 signed out a warrant for this woman. Let that sink in. The warrant got buried in a basement in the Courthouse in Greenwood, Mississippi. The family of Till was allowed to go through the old documents and they found this amazing warrant.
The unthinkable things that the mob did to Till’s body were on display for the world to see. Mamie Till, Emmett’s mother, gathered her courage and allowed images of her son’s tortured dead body to be seen by the whole world. That was a strong woman. God Bless the family. I hope they get some justice. The murder trial for Emmett’s killer was fast and segregated and brought an acquittal. There was a mountain of evidence against the two men on trial JW Milam and Roy Bryant. They later admitted to their murderous acts, but due to Double Jeopardy, they were protected from any criminal culpability. For their troubles they earned about $4,000 for an interview. They are both dead now.
The woman Carolyn Bryant Donham later admitted in 2007 that she fabricated her testimony about Emmett. I imagine that the rest of her life she will know that she lied and caused the death of an innocent child. She married two more times and has two grown children. She spends most of her time in hiding. Things have not turned out so well for her but she did far better than Emmett.
This post is dedicated to all those who’s lives ended too soon and in a violent manner. To name a few Emmett Till, Jayland Walker killed in Akron recently, (he was shot at least 60 times while running away because of a broken taillight) Ahmad Arbury, Breonna Taylor, Eric Garner, George Floyd the people at A & P in Buffalo, the people in Illinois at a July 4th Parade and on and on. No matter if killed by Police or any other unholy means I am sensitive and bothered by it all. I mostly talk about the rights of women but other things hurt my heart too. My focus is undeterred, I just want to speak out for those who no longer can.
Tomorrow’s plog will focus on Supreme Court Shenanigans that have me really worried. You will see how their fall agenda puts many more rights at risk. If nothing else Reclaim will keep all readers informed and ready to speak out against the relinquishing of rights. Never again should we be quiet, complacent and just allow our rights to disappear. We should act, be vocal, be activist and anything but quiet.
Peace Out!
