Plog Number 42
Globalism

Hello to my plog family. I hope you are all enjoying your Saturday evening. Sophie and I are happy this evening. Our electricity went out for about 30 minutes tonight. I had just gotten home from Target and had lots of food to put away. It was 87 degrees today and the humidity was 73%. It was positively SOUPY! So I was worried about all my frozen foods but it all turned out just fine. Thank you God. 🙏
So tonight I was feeling pretty good after attending a really fun Graduation Party 🎓 for good friends and having a fun day. But then I heard about this guy named Viktor Orban. Orban spoke at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) this past week. This guy is the Prime Minister of Hungary. He said some openly horrible things. He said he didn’t want Hungary to become a “mixed race” country. He gave a sucker punch to gay marriage by saying we need “less drag queens and more Chuck Norris”. He also called the media producers of fake news. He spoke disparagingly about Obama and Globalism. His words were spoken at a Conservative Political Action Committee (CPAC) in Texas in July of this year. The day before the conference Orban was hanging out with 45 at his golfing club in Bedminster New Jersey. As an aside, Bedminster is where 45 buried the cremated remains of Ivana Trump his first wife.
So I have many questions. Why do politicians have these PAC Pow Wows? Rather than congregate and talk sh*t you would think they would be more interested in learning from their mistakes. I am sure lot of endoctrination and fund raising occurs too. There seems to be a cultlike aspect to them too. Attendants seem to be people with big egos patting each other on the back 👏 . They seem like organized 4H clubs but with a more sinister goal. Nevertheless there are lots pf PAC's but the CPAC that just occurred seemed very egregious. Dont forget about the guy in the orange jumpsuit, behind bars crying. I guess he is representing those behind bars for their traitorous acts on January 6. Very Whack!
I have learned that Hungary is not a Communist country since 1989. They are currently a People’s Republic but with a tyrannical leader. Orban urged that this country should be taken back from the Liberals. He hinted at assistance from across the Atlantic to help this to happen. Obviously, this man is planning with 45 for a second run at the Presidency. WOW! I guess he was asked to speak at this CPAC for a very relevant reason. Talk about Globalism. The Republicans are using Hungarian leaders to help them achieve their goals. In a previous plog I spoke of Alex Jones and his hatred of Globalism. The definition of Globalism is the operation or planning of economic and foreign policy on a global basis. Also it is the interdependence of the economies, cultures, and populations brought about by cross border trade in goods and services, technology, and flows of investment, people, and information. It sounds as if Globalism is something that Conservatives only approve of when it is helping them.
I think that a CPAC that invites foreign speakers is the very essence of Globalism. I personally see Globalism as a necessity and reality in our counrty's history. The four corners of the world have many things to offer. Was it not Globalism that brought slaves from Africa to the United States? Was it not Globalism that brought European Immigrants to the US? Without either of these two events we would not have the country that we live in today. Europeans would be in Europe and Africans would be in Africa. Also Hungarians would be in Hungary, not New Jersey and Texas. And wasn't it Globalism when the Russians interfered in the 2016 election and helped 45 get into the White House?
When world leaders are so openly racist, biased and divisive it is time to listen to what they are saying. The reason to listen is because they drop hints and dog whistles to their future plans. Racist leaders are not quiet about it these days. Don’t be shocked at what you hear. Also don’t be shocked about the fact that the Republican party has gone deep into racism, anti-Semitism, sexism and more -isms. I have always felt that they were that way but now it is open, undeniable and unapologetic. I have never said that Democrats are perfect but they do welcome minorities for more than just Token roles.
Our world is full of extremes. Please choose your leaders wisely and vote your conscious, not your party.
