Good things from 2022

👰🏿‍♀️

Hello Ploggers and Farewell to the year 2022. I know that I am looking forward to much better in 2023. With 2022 in the rear view mirror I am promising myself to be a better person. Pretty sure I can find a way to do that every day. This will be my first Plog of the New Year. I am truly grateful to see this New Year, so many will not. I try to be grateful for each new 🌞 day as I experience it. For sure I am grateful for the many things that could have happened but that did not in the year 2022. So many times I plog about 👎 negative things. Today I am going to 👏highlight some 🎉 positive things that happened in 2022!!

First and foremost is that our Democracy remains intact. We now know that very detailed plans were in place to end Democracy as we know it. Much of that plan failed miserably. The Millenials came out and voted and saved us. They blocked key races where election deniers were set up to win elected office as Secretary of States and Governors in Key swing states. The influence of 45 has waned considerably and the attempt was thwarted. But we know that we will have to be 👀 alert for other similar devious plots.

Second runner up was when District Court Judge Aileen Cannon was reversed by the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Judge Cannon ruled in favor of 45 when he asked for the Special Master. She also granted the request 45 made to block the Justice Department from having access to the documents 📝 despite them belonging to the Government. Cannon basically said that 45 deserved special treatment because of who he was. WTF? The higher court 💪 overruled Cannon and stated plainly that she had handled the case poorly. All 3 of the judges were Republican appointees, 2 of them were 45 appointees. Cannon was so widely criticized it almost made me feel sorry for her, but not quite. I am just hoping that others will see her folly and avoid making the same mistake.

Third is the information uncovered by the January 6 Select Committee. They have done a wonderful job of keeping us informed of their findings in a public forum. They released the text messages 📲 of 45’s Chief of Staff Mark Meadows. We have read the texts of Mark Meadows from Ginni Thomas, Jim Jordan, Don Jr, Margorie Taylor Green, various Fox News personalities and more. The Commission very thoroughly laid out much evidence that was not known about the planning and communication of that deadly event. We heard from Cassidy Hutchins and her credible account of what was happening during the Capital siege. We learned about 🍅ketchup on the wall. The truth lies in the details.

Fourth was when right wing, conservative and Conspiracy believer Alex Jones lost in court and was sued for large 💵 amounts of money. He had called the Sandy Hook survivors liars and said that the whole shooting was a fabrication in order to get 🔫 guns away from Americans. He was denied bankruptcy protection and he got so mad he started smacking his own face really hard. That was a beautiful thing to see. The needless pain he caused others is unforgivable.

Fifth, the red 🔴 wave most definitely did not take place in the midterm elections. In addition to maintaining our Democracy, we kept a Senate majority. Thank God for the citizens of Georgia to be smart👏 enough to reject Hershel Walker as Senator from their state. I am thankful for Senator Ralpheal Warnock.

Six is for the hard work of President 🌋 Smoking Joe Biden. Biden has done more for our country in two short years than any other president. He has appointed more 👰

women to the Federal ⚖️ Court bench than any previous President. He appointed👏 Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court. He signed a Federal law making lynching a Federal crime. Its hard to believe that wasn’t already done years ago. I expect more good things from him.

There is more positive things that I could say. Many great 🎇 🎆 things have happened in 2022. I am here waiting for 🎊 more to come! We came through 2022 and despite some efforts we are still strong.
