Hijacked
Hello Ploggers, Happy October and all things Orange. It is the time of year for football, baseball post season which the Cleveland Guardians are in. It is the first year since they changed their name from the Indians. I personally believe that they were never going to make it to the World Series⚾️ with a “racist” name that many Native Americans voiced displeasure at. If you don’t know Cleveland has a bad history with sports championships. I never watch them play any sport because it always end up being disappointment. But the city is full of faithful fans and they will cheer them on no matter what. Go Guards!
I saw an interview by a CNN outlet of Florida Republican Senator Rick Scott. The Senator was asked a simple question about a racist remark made by 45. The comment was blatantly racist and insulting. But this Senator could not bring himself to say that the comment was racist. First he tried to dodge the question and talk about something Kamala Harris said. But the reporter Dana Bash brought it back to the racist comment. Then he tried to say that 45 gives Nicknames to everyone. Finally the reporter asked Scott if he was OK with the comments 45 made. He then generalized that it is never, ever OK for anyone to be a racist and that he hopes that no one is ever racist to anyone else. So if you wonder why I titled this Plog Hijacked here goes my reasoning.
45 has thoroughly high-jacked the Republican Party. His hold over the party is 😲 amazing. The other elected republicans know that they don’t dare ever publically say anything even slightly negative about 45. They will tiptoe around straightforward questions and even risk looking foolish, indecisive or uninformed. Anything is preferable to being on the bad side of 45. 45 also has a block on being a potential Republican candidate for the Presidency. It is apparent that Ron De Santis would like to run but 45 has not been prosecuted for anything legally, so there is still the chance that he may run. These elected officials risk their office if they anger 45. Case in point Mo Brooks of Alabama. He had been a house member for12 years and was running for senate. But at some point 45 accused him of going 😯“woke”. He withdrew his support and Brooks lost to a 45 endorsed candidate. Now Brooks is a private citizen. There are more candidates Liz Cheney, Tim Rice and Rusty Bowers. Adam Kinsinger didn’t run for his house seat after he played a large part in the January 6 Committee. So the Republicans are unsteady. They are headed by an egomaniacal child who doesn’t allow them to say anything in opposition of him. They all know the rules. They cant say anything of consequence, they are neutered
I remember that years ago 45 considered himself as a Democrat. But he decided to run as a Republican because he knew it would be easier to control that party. He also stated, early on that women should be punished for abortion. He chose the path in which he would be more successful. These facts are all remarkable because they have played out to the detriment of women. 45 was shrewd and found a way to be successful and he is sticking with it. I feel that his spot as top Republican has been integral in the loss of Reproductive Rights for American women. But I do not feel like hope is lost. I feel that WE as registered Democrats have to turn out in droves to knock off a plane✈️ that has been hijacked and is unsteady. We can get our rights back, but not without a massive showing in November. We have to save our Democracy 💯 while we still can. It would be insanity to let a floundering party that is unable to win or appeal to the majority of Americans control our lives. Much less to allow them to get control of the Voting process state by state. Even with their attempts to gerrymander, and throw out legit votes, they are a dying party. We will keep our Democracy. The hijacked Republican party is ready to implode 💣and after it is all said and done We will RECLAIM!
