Hot Ramen-Cold Politics
Hi Ploggers, how goes it. I hope you are all having a lovely late Autumn. It has cooled down but the đ sun still makes a regular appearance. Leaves đare falling but not so much that you have to rake them all the time. I will do that later. This is a day for Top Ramen. My friend is Palestinian and occasionally she takes me to Arab grocery stores. Arab and Pakistani stores have different kinds of ramen noodles. They are not the same as ours. The flavor packets include 3 different items. One is a seasoning oil, the second is a chili powder and the third is seasoning powder of your choosing. By the time you get all of them together with noodles it is really good. Try them if you get a chance. The kind I got is called Indo Mie and the flavor is Chickenđ Curry and yum.
I have been watching the House of Representatives. Jim Jordan was given a hard no. It was both amazing and reassuring to me that other Republicans saw Jim Jordan as theđ snake he is. Except for the Freedom Caucus and all that they could coerce, he was shorter on votes each time. His void seemed to get âŹď¸ bigger with each vote.
It has been leaked to the đ° press that members of congress had been pressured and threatened to vote for Jordan. The threats were very vivid and harmful. Jordan later came out and denounced them after they went public. It was pretty bad fake đ˛ outrage. Plus I heard that Jack Smith may have charges coming out against him. That could be a factor in his rejection. Not to mention his Ohio State sex abuse situation.
Now we have Mike Johnson from Louisiana as House Speaker. He seems to be a far right MAGA, election denying, Pro life, social programs cutting Republican. Is there not a moderate and likeable republican in all of congress? We all know that the Freedom Caucus will not support anyone except a far right orange đ follower. We are closing in on November 15th and another government shut down. There should be a default provision that serves as a motivator for Congressional leaders to act like adults and do their jobs. So many thing are at stake, we can not afford to play politics when work has to be done. I hope that Americans are watching this non-functioning and non-productive cluster of human beings as they suck in a heftyđľ salary and do no meaningful work. Please vote them all đ out and đ RECLAIM!
