Jasmine Crockett

Plog Number 297

Going through the Jasmine in my Mind

Howdy Ploggers, how are you. I hope that your week is starting out on a lovely note. Each Monday can be a new beginning for our work weeks. Most of us view Mondays as the end of the weekend fun and relaxation. Nevertheless, it's Mondays that make Fridays so great.

Last week was a volatile week in Congress. Many of us saw the 📹 video and exchange between Marjorie Taylor Green, A.O.C. and Jasmine Crockett. Fourth of July 🎇firecrackers came early this year. The memes, songs and jokes over the weekend were great on the internet. Many of us could not resist getting in on it, myself included. I did a TikTok on it and had fun doing so.

At the end of the day, Greene threw out a racist and ignorant comment to Crockett. She went straight to Crockett’s looks, specifically her “fake👀 eyelashes”. This opened up the floodgates causing chaos to break loose. AOC seemed like she was just waiting for the gaff. She was so quick to point👉 it out and demand that it be struck from the record, that in itself was impressive. She then went on to taunt Greene and called her “Baby Girl” several times. Greene floundered around and ended up asking AOC to debate her and said that she was not intelligent enough to do so. It was bizzare, but this is not the best part by far.

The best part was Jasmine Crockett asking the Chairman if it would be OK to say that Greene was a “Bleached Blonde, Bad Body, Butch Built” in the same context? She asked it as a question, but surely meant it as a statement. She stated that and then the Chairmen, Jamie Raskin and James Comer were at a loss to be able to respond. I think Comer said “now what now?” He was totally lost in the sauce. No one was expecting this seething Alliteration from Crockett, yet there it was. I doubt that anything got done that day, but it was all highly entertaining.

When women attack each other they usually go straight for looks. In this case it was Green who started the name calling. She seemed to forget the unspoken rule that you don't talk about anyone's looks unless yours are above reproach. I saw a picture of Green from her High School yearbook. She looked "unpopular". I have not seen a picture of Crockett from High School, but I bet her picture looked similar to how she looks today. Looks are important but words are even stronger and last longer. RECLAIM!
