Kevin Mc Carthy OUT
Hello Ploggers, how are you. I hope we are all hanging in there as we enter into š October. It is a lovely fall so far and I am planning to embrace the season. A season that is full of š Pumpkin everything, early Halloween decorations, signing the snow plow contract and basically hunkering down for winter. I also enjoy wearing cardigans, sweaters and fashionableš¢ boots. Itās a fun, necessity for seasonal š areas.
I guess we have all noticed that Kevin Mc Carthy has been voted out as Speaker of the House. This happened today 10/3/2023. Mc Carthy is from Bakersfield, California and that city is known as the Alabama of the state. Whah Whae!! That ol' Alabama Slamma! He only had the coveted gavel for 9 months. It took Congress 15 votes to elect him. His Speakership came with lots of promises to lots of people in his party. Evidently he didnāt live up to his promises, so out he went. He will still be a Congressman but not a leader in Congress for the Republican Party. They will name someone else and move forward in whatever way they can.
I cant help but remember when he ran down to Mar-a-lago and took that š· picture with 45. They both turned side by side and smiled as if they were taking a Selfie. I am sure Mc Carthy thought he was sealing his fate for a future filled with success. He probably thought he was sure to have ā¤ļølove and the votes from the MAGA crowd. He had made it as first in line to kiss the š ring or *ss or whatever you want to call it. The word Paydirt comes to mind. He was smug and it seems like his party saw it and felt disdain for him. This is a clear sign that the power 45 had is ć½ļø waning.
I donāt know exactly what this means for the country but I know that it means more chaos and ineffective leadership for the Republicans. The only thing that would be better would be if the next speaker had a pair of balls and ousted George Santos for being a liar and a fraud who is under indictment. That would beš great. Realistically, I hear that Jim šŗ Jordan from Ohio is campaigning for the job. No matter what happens it will be entertainment and chaos. This Congress will be the most dysfunctional and non-productive ever. I am hoping that the November budget deadline fight will be dead in the water. Nothingš frosts me more than a government shutdown, engineered by Congress and them still getting šµ paid. There should be a trigger law that any time there is a shutdown, the entire Congress doesnāt get paid either. RECLAIM!
