Looking Forward

Howdie Ploggers, how are you doing? I am looking at the last big election we had and thinking of the next big one in 2024. People are raising 💰 funds and getting ready for it already. I think that we as constituents, citizens and voters should be doing the same thing. I think we should really think about ourselves, our eroding rights and those who want to further abolish them before we even think about voting. There seems to be a huge DISCONNECT and so many people are voting against their own interest. This is true especially with 👩‍ white women. As a reminder here are just a few things that are on the proverbial table and chopping block. The list includes but is not limited to Women’s Reproductive Rights, Freedom of Education, Voting rights, LGBTQ rights, Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid, Environmental Protections just to name a few really BIG ones. Don’t forget that Supreme ⚖️ Court and Federal Court Judges directly affect our quality of life. Voting rights are the cornerstone of our Democratic Republic. We as voters are charged with being informed and savvy voters. Gone are the days of being manipulated by shiny 💎 objects. Gone are the days of being manipulated by our fears and prejudice. Gone are the days of being used by Slack Jaw politicians. Please no more George Santos Tom Foolery! Gone are the days of voting like we have always voted or our husbands and families have always voted. It’s simple. Just VOTE YOUR INTEREST!!!! Sorry for shouting again.

During the last election it was the Gen Z and Millenials who saved us from a red wave that would have stripped us of most of the above mentioned rights. There has been talk about raising the voting age, so you know they made a big difference. Their Democratic votes virtually cancelled out the Baby Boomers Republican votes. But it should not be just the Millenials who see things that are not in their interest and vote against them. We all should be doing that, but historically we do not. SMH!! Some people gave a lot of lip service about women’s rights and then went and voted Republican to the tune of over 60%.

Remember when Smoking Joe Biden passed the CHIPS Act in late 2022? That act had a provision that reduced the cost of Insulin 💉 to $39 a vial for seniors. Right after that happened, 4 Republican Senators wrote a bill to overturn that $39 Insulin provision. More recently the Lily drug company has voluntarily reduced their Insulin to $39 per vial. It only costs Lily $10 to make a vial of Insulin and it has been sold for a high as $399 per vial. So I am wondering what that does to the 4 Republican Senators (Rubio Fla, Lee Utah, Lankford Oklahoma, Lummis Wyoming) Pharmaceutical support bill. It kind of takes the wind out of the sails of their despicable act. Their reasoning was that the Pharmaceutical 💊companies needed higher profits in order to do better research. Let the seniors pay what the drug companies ask, they will deal with it. They have no right to capped insulin costs. Those Senators sought to directly hurt American Senior Citizens who are Diabetics. Key words are Americans, Senior Citizens and Diabetics. Those senators are BAD NEWS. Keep things like this in mind when voting in the next big and any future elections. I will be here to remind you of the voting habits of Incumbents. That is the best way to know where they really stand. RECLAIM !
