Plog Number 363
North Carolina State Supreme Court
Recount
Hello Ploggers, how are you? Please stay warm and cozy. I am doing my best at that. I am thinking about this November 5 election. None of it makes any sense to me, even with time going by. Usually things settle in and start to make sense to me. Not so on this. I see 45 naming cabinet members. They seem to be one sexual pervert after the next. White men who like to force themselves on women and or young girls. I see news media going down to Maralago to kiss the 💎ring. I even see private companies like Walmart voluntarily rolling back their DEI initiatives. Corporate America seems to want to be in the same ⛵️boat as 45, full of💰 greed and White Nationalism. I see all of these things letting me know that 45 indeed won the election. But there are a few niggling things I can’t seem to shake. Let’s get into it!
In the swing state of North Carolina, they had hotly contested races for Governor and other important state races. Starting at the top the state voted Red for 45 for President. Looking further, they elected Democrat Josh Stein for Governor with 54.9%. He ran against big mouthed, MAGA Mark Robinson who ran as a Republican and won just 40.1%. Their Lieutenant Governor race was between Republican Hal Weatherman and Democrat Rachel Hunt. Hunt won the Lieutenant Governor race with 49.5%. Weatherman received 47.6%. They also had a recount in North Carolina. The recount was regarding the Supreme Court. Democrat Allison Riggs and Republican Jefferson Griffin were in a tight race for the seat. At this point Riggs is leading by about 700 votes and now they are doing a hand count. The third count for this one race. The total number of votes cast in North Carolina was 5,724,001. Total number of eligible voters in North Carolina was 7,763,502. That leaves 2,039,501 who didn't vote at all. Total votes cast for 45 was 2,898,428 or 51%. Total number of votes cast for Kamala Harris was 2,715,380 or 47.8%
To simplify
President Trump 51.4% Harris 47.8%. Republican win by 4% 🐘
Governor Stein 54.9% Robinson 40.1% Democrat win by 14 % 🐴
Lieutenant Governor Rachel Hunt 49.5% H Weatherman 47.6% Democrat win
by 2% 🐴
Supreme Court Allison Riggs Jefferson Griffin (still counting but Riggs
leading by 700 votes) Democrat win by 1% 🐴
My big question is, since they recounted anyways for the sake of the coveted Supreme Court race, why not do the same for the Presidential race. 47.5% to 51% is not a close race, however the voting pattern of people voting for 45 but not for Robinson for Governor deserves a second look. Did they like 45 but not Mark Robinson. The voting pattern in North Carolina was strange this year. People voted across both sides of the aisle. If you accept the numbers, you would say that the electorate was very choosey and decisive on what they wanted. They knew that they wanted 45 a Republican but for the other top races in the state they wanted Democrats. Are we to believe that the Tar Heel voters were so sophisticated to vote Red, Blue, Blue, Blue. Hmmmm, that is strange even to me and warrants a re-count. It is for reasons like this that I cannot accept the results of the election. RECLAIM!
