Presidential vote from black perspective
Hello Ploggers, how are you? I am positively stuffed with Thanksgiving food. From macaroni and cheese, carrot cake, turkey,🍠 ham and more, I have tried it all. I have enjoyed family at two different locations. I have seen lots of family members and I feel great. I have barely had time to be on social media or even read the news. Sometimes I think that is a good thing. But then I start to wonder what they are doing to us behind our backs. The news is usually so engaged with talking about 45 and all his trials, that I feel overwhelmed and turned off by it at the same time. But I want to take a minute to talk about Smoking🔥 Joe Biden. His birthday is November 20, 1942. Since he just had a🎂 birthday he is 81 years old. That is a cold hard fact that we all have to deal with. As far as I see it, that is his only negative. I really don’t see it as a negative, but many Americans do. I pray to be mentally intact at that age.
But his experience and accomplishments are undeniably amazing. I feel that they outweigh his age. I also feel that the alternative to him is a promised fall into destruction of our democracy. As an African American, our lives are already on an uneven playing field and can be quite treacherous. We really need this Democracy to remain intact. We are in need of any constitutional protections we can get. So let’s look at things that Biden and Harris have already done for this country.
-The Inflation Reduction Act CHIPS which reduced the cost of Insulin to $35 for seniors and more.
-The Infrastructure Rebuild that is currently ongoing.
-The PACT act made it easier for Veterans to obtain and use their enhanced Benefits.
-The Bipartisan Safer Communities Act with gun safety that hadn’t been addressed in 3 decades.
-Guiding us through a pandemic ignored and mismanaged by the previous administration.
-Created nearly 11 M jobs.17 states now have unemployment rates at or below 3%.
-Protections created for LGBT and Interracial Couples.
-Confirmation of Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson and Federal Judges of diverse backgrounds.
-Developed an aggressive climate and environmental justice agenda in American History.
-A reduction in gas⛽️ prices by $1.60 from summer 2022 thanks to a release from the Strategic Petroleum reserve.
And things they have NOT done
-Biden is not a racist.
-Biden is not a treasonous insurrectionist
-Biden did not steal classified records and store them in a bathroom.
-Biden did not lead an insurrection that resulted in the death of 5 people.
-Biden did not refuse to rent apartments to black people.
-Biden did not call Georgia officials to change election results.
-Biden did not falsify property values for decades in order to bilk the government out of tax money.
-Biden was not found liable for Sexual Assault or brag about "grabbing pussy".
-Biden did not make fun of the disabled and disrespect war veterans.
For the above reasons and more, I, a Black American woman will vote for Joe Biden over 45 as long as he has a pulse. Looking at all the things mentioned above, age 81 is not a problem. At least he is not a treasonous, racist, criminal, childish buffoon. In my mind there is simply no room for any other vote for President in 2024. It is much more than black people frequently voting Democratic. Black MAGA is not a winning posture at this point. Spoilers step away from the race. I am looking at you Roberet F Kennedy Jr, Cornel West, Jill Stein, Joe Manchin. RECLAIM!
