This plog will post 3 days after the super bowl
Hello Ploggers and Happy Super Bowl Day! Today is the big day. In local news, there are 2 Cleveland Heights High alumnae in the game. One on each team. Jason Kelce on the Philadelphia Eagles. Travis Kelce is on the Kansas City Chiefs. It is the first time that has happened. Kudos to Heights High School. Another interesting thing will be Sheryl Lee Ralph is going to 🎤 sing “Lift every Voice and Sing” the black national anthem. Lastly Rhiannon will do the halftime show. Both team quarterbacks are black. They have brought back Doug Williams who was the first black quarterback to play in and win the Super Bowl. It is the Black Super Bowl! All of this black love is not wasted on me. It is as if the NFL had a deficit in 🔦 spotlighting blackness and they are trying to make it up this year. Being an avid non-football 🏈 watcher I really don’t know enough about it to speak authoritatively. But I have my suspicions.
Rhiannon had originally said no to the offer to perform. In the past, she was known to support Colin Kapernick. She had also recently had a baby, but she changed her mind and now we will all watch her perform. I would like to see Colin Kapernik get his justice. I believe he will have a great place in history. He is now a 💸 well-paid motivational speaker and Civil Rights Activist. He also has a series on Netflics which shows the story of his young life and the things that helped shape him. It is very interesting and entertaining. He narrates the 📺 show and brings the audience up to speed. I am thrilled that he has achieved his share of fame. He deserves it. He got to play for 6 seasons as a Quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers. But at the end of the day HE WAS SO RIGHT!! He hit the nail on the head. The cause he went out on was very worthy. The killing by the Police of unarmed black men still needs a solution. I certainly stand by his decision to take a knee rather than stand during the national anthem. I 💓 admire a person who stands strong on their principles. You will have to forgive me for attempting to talk about 😳 sports. I am the most non sports person ever, but this Plog is about football but it also talks about other human traits that I observe. RECLAIM!
