Hello Ploggers, how are you. Today is the day after the big Presidential election. Are you ok? Are you in shock? I know this is a big, loaded question. The American electorate voted in 45 for our 47th President. The votes were counted and I saw the direction that things were going pretty early on. I had a bad feeling and it rang true. I went to bed early and just laid there, not watching the news. I am definitely on hiatus from the news local or national at this point. But I saw an interesting breakdown of who voted for whom. Let’s get into it.
This information is based on Exit Polls from 2016. They are slightly worse now, but in the same general direction. The largest block of supporters of 45 are White Men at 61%. Next highest was White Women at 55%. Those numbers right there show us a lot. I just watched a video with an Asian and a White man sitting down to eat and talking about why the one man voted for 45. He said flat out that the one reason he voted for him was because his policies on immigration would slow down white people becoming a minority. He called it the “dispossession of whites”. It is the fear of the replacement theory. He even said that slowing it down was preferable. He seemed to realize that it is something that is impossible to halt completely. I believe that is a large part of why white people voted for 45. They thought they were ensuring their survival.
19% of Black men voted for Republicans. 10% of Black women voted Republican. That is a small and expected rate. Black people like Byron Donalds and Tim Scott are in the minority. Black women are among the most educated and dependable voters in the country. It has been determined that less educated white people voted for 45.
36% of Hispanic men and 30% of Hispanic women voted Republican. This demographic is second only to White men and women. Why this is, I have no idea. I do know that Cubans come from the Fidel Castro regime and they view a Democracy with suspicion. But there are also Puerto Ricans, Mexicans, South Americans and etc. What is their allegiance to 45? Are they trying to slow down the dispossession of white too? SMH. I have no idea.
The final category is 38% of Asians and other ethnicities who voted Republican. I am not even sure what that means. But that is the breakdown. Many of us will be digesting these numbers like a hungry alligator. But in our case, we are an alligator who just swallowed a bitter skunk and now it is slowly going through our system. RECLAIM!
