The Importance of Steve Bannon

Hello all, I hope you are well. I am starting to feel like a human being again. Getting home from vacation on a Redeye is exhausting in itself. Not to mention the tens of thousands of steps we walked in Las Vegas. The whole time we were there we never went near a slot machine or Black Jack table. When we would pass through the casinos it looked like people were stressed and depressed. Isn’t that why you went on vacation in the first place? The only table that looked even a little tempting to me was the craps table with the spinning wheel for dice to be thrown.
Speaking of gambling, it looks like Steve Bannon lost when he decided to bet on 45 shielding him from liability. I must say how much it galls me that this guy is wealthy. He carries himself and looks shabby, dirty and deranged. I can only imagine his thoughts. When they took him off that Yacht when he was involved with stealing money that was given to build the wall, I was happy-sad. Happy that they got him, but sad that he was on a yacht. I can’t think of a person less deserving to be on a yacht than this guy. Ironically he has a pretty distinguished background. He served in the Navy, worked at Goldman Sachs and Biosphere 2 a research company. He has an M.A. Degree in National Security Studies from Georgetown University. He later became a Breitbart News Network personality. Breitbart is a far right syndicated news and opinion website. Don’t tell me I can’t have my say in a Plog when these people have whole radio shows for that purpose! Both Breitbart and Sirius XM booted Bannon after making some derogatory comments about 45. He later went back to Breitbart and still has a radio show somewhere. In 2020 Bannon was charged with fraudulent money handling for funds paid to build “The wall”. The amount in question was 25 million dollars. There were four Co-defendants in the case. Bannon was pardoned by 45 on his last day in office and never spent a day in jail. No wonder he thought he was above the law.
Currently he is charged with two Misdemeanor Contempt of Congress counts. More specifically, one count was failure to appear for deposition. The other count was refusing to hand over documents. So the Justice Department charged and convicted him. They took the charges ALL THE WAY. That is unusual for contempt charges. I have seen them used more as a threat than anything else. The threat alone usually makes people straighten up and fly right. Not Steve. So now he will be sentenced. The penalties range from fines up to a year in jail. Since money is not problem for this guy, I am hoping for the jail time. 364 days would be enough to make him really miss his freedom and it would be just shy of the maximum. Merrick Garland took credit for this and said that “No one is above the law”. I am hoping that Garland will use this focus on all of the 45 crowd criminals. If nothing else, they seem to be using Bannon as an example of what can happen to you if you don’t comply. The whole decision is a good and hopeful thing. I am sure Bannon was shocked when he heard the decision. I would have loved to see his face when he heard it. It gives me hope for some consequences for Ginni Thomas next.
RECLAIM!
