The Spoils and the Remains
Hello Ploggers, how are you doing? Since the 2024 election, I have noticed some things. Lets get into it. First of all the turn-around from pre to post election has been stark. Its like a switch has been turned off. The hope, momentum, motivational speeches, calling out of lies and incompetence, concrete plans for the poor and middle class and the “Joyful💞 Warrior” spirit had us intoxicated as we looked forward to our bright and salvaged futures. I know that is how I felt. Additionally, I felt that there were like-minded people all over the country who felt the same way. It was mere bonus points that a Harris win would allow all of the various prosecutions against 45 to go forward with a flourish. Many wrongs would be righted and we would have “a🐔 chicken in every pot”. That was quite a “high” that some of us were on. But alas our reality has totally changed.
Now, all of our hopes have been dashed. Our American and Democratic dreams have been dashed. Our Democracy is at stake. Our Reproductive Rights are a thing of the past. Well-meaning women will die just for trying to become mothers. Corruption and💸 Greed have prevailed. The lesson that people with money are untouchable has been reinforced. All of our financial futures are shaky at best. From retirement accounts to buying food with prices that are tariff inflated, it is scary. Any marginalized group can expect nothing in the way of fairness and/or prosperity. DEI programs are being dismantled as quickly as yesterdays🚯 trash. To be clear, by marginalized I mean BIPOC, LGBTQIA, Immigrants, disabled persons, non-Christians and those who depend on Social programs to live. To come from the opposite side, good things are in store for💰 wealthy, white,👨👦👦 Christian✝️ males.
Another twist to this is the fact that 45 obviously had a lot of help to win this election. Lets talk about that. Ignorance and the poorly educated people of this country helped 45 to win. Once again we are looking at each other and wondering who voted for him!?! We are wondering how the poorest among us would vote to become poorer due to tariffs!?! How did those on Obamacare not know that the Affordable Care Act was one in the same and vote to do away with it!?! We are wondering how they didn’t see a competent black woman as a better alternative to a felon, racist, sex abuser, insurrectionist and treasonist!?! I am personally wondering about Space X Satellites and Elon Musk’s sudden excitement prior to the election!?! Wondering how disillusioned Republicans like Liz Cheney weren’t persuasive enough to the majority of Americans!?! Wondering how the Puerto Rican, Latinos and Hispanics who 45 insulted still voted for him!?! Wondering how States like North Carolina elected mostly Democrats in key races except the very top of the ticket!?! Wondering how the words of ex 45 high ranking employees were ignored. Wondering if the country is more racist or misogynistic or both or just stupid!?! Did people feign support of Harris and secretly voted for 45!?! Can an election be stolen in some way where the candidate says “I don’t need your votes”!?!WTF WTF WTF????
Now we are left very hurt, disillusioned, fearful, disgusted with our fellow countrymen, divided and suspicious. None of those things are a good replacement for our prior Joyful Warrior feelings. These very real feelings make it hard to go about our days with a good attitude. We went from being filled with😍 love and positivity to being filled with😠 hate and negativity if we are being honest with ourselves. Yet we go on, because we have to. Its just like after a death. Those who are still alive have to go on. But this is the spoils we are left with. RECLAIM!
