What are they thinking?
Hello Ploggers, how are you. I hope that you are sailing ⛵️ along and enjoying the ride. This past weekend was a historic one for the country of Israel and possibly the whole world. They were Blitzkrieg attacked by Arab Hamas. Many people lost their lives. The Arab and Israeli divide has never been wider. It is as old as time and it never seems to be solved. I remember Begin and Sadat trying to not hate each other back in the 70’s, but that didn’t trickle down. Even before that I remember Ishmael and Isaac being rivals in the 📖 Bible. The history is long. With what is going on in the war between Russia and Ukraine we now have two major wars going on in the world. Wars where our allies are involved. That means there will be expectations from the United States. See what I mean, scary.
Meanwhile back in the US Congress, we are without a Speaker of the House. All acts of war and any major decisions including aid must go through Congress. Congress isn’t even fully staffed and running right now. We have the most ineffective Congress there has ever been. They are lead only narrowly by Republicans. Many of them are Insurrectionists and 45 Sympathizers. We have George Santos who is a Pathological Liar and is under criminal indictment. We have Lauren Boebert who recently had a public make out session, vaped in a non-smoking space and flipped off management after she was asked to leave. Matt Gaetz has been accused of paying for sex with underage women. Jim Jordan who is accused of knowing that boys were being sexually abused at Ohio State and did nothing about it. More recently he was spanked hard by Foni Lewis about response to a letter he wrote trying to interfere in her investigation of 45. Also, there is Marjorie Taylor Green who appeared with white nationalist Nick Feuntes and shared a stage with him.
In addition to this clown show there are at least 3 Republican Senators who are loudly, actively and purposefully blocking the confirmation of many high political/military posts. The three that I am aware of are JD Vance (R) Ohio, Tommy Tuberville (R) Alabama and Rand Paul (R) Kentucky. Vance is holding up confirmations as an act of revenge for holding President 45 accountable for his wrongdoings. Paul is holding things up because he wants an answer to where Covid came from. Tubberville is doing this because some military outlets allow and even pay for abortion care, which is also known as health care. So because of these 3 Senators we are caught without Ambassadors to many countries and military commanders. Israel is without an Ambassador right now. One of the jobs of an Ambassador is to ensure the security of the citizens and to build strong diplomatic ties.
So anyone can see that we were caught with our pants👖 down due to the Republicans. They are non-helpful and obstructionists and useless. They need to be voted out of office so they can all go down to Mar-a-lago and commiserate with 45. But my suspicion is that he wouldn’t let them in because they would be of no use to him anymore. So many scary things are going on. I think we all need to be still and reflect and pray, meditate or whatever you choose. Our leaders need our help. RECLAIM!
